They do talk about honour killing, but it may have been a rasict or someone who just hates her. They always try to shift everything to honour killings, but you never know what the real cause is. I mean honour killings have not been happening in countries like these for a long time, usually in Islamic countries. it may well be that this time it is, but we should not start from the premise. it may just as well have been a racist or a jealous family member or someone else.
