Amina comes from Afghanistan and is married to a cousin in Iran by her parents at the age of 10. There she is supposed to lead a kind of house slave existence as a daughter-in-law. The driving force behind this is her father-in-law, the father of Sattar. This family is an Afghan family who fled to Iran.

Amina and Sattar have 2 children in Tehran, go back to Afghanistan, where 2 more children are born. In autumn 2015 the family moves to Germany because they are looking for a better life. That this includes women's rights is not clear to anyone involved.

Later Sattar will say in court: "Germany is Womanland". He also does not accept that he is not allowed to beat his children. Nevertheless, the children emancipate themselves. Wife and daughter take off the headscarf, mother attends a German course. Later she will say in court that she only learned in Germany that not all men are evil and violent.

On December 14, 2017, Sattar strangles his wife to unconsciousness. The violence goes beyond the usual extent of the blows. Two of her children come to the mother's aid, she can save herself by jumping out of the window.

In June 2018 the trial will begin at the Landau Regional Court. Although the court is convinced that Sattar wanted to kill his wife, he is sentenced only for dangerous assault: 4 years and 3 months imprisonment. Amina is not the woman's real name.
