Anna
born: 1983
Attempted murder: 12 March 2011
Residence: Münster
Provenance: Victim: Zimbabwe; Perpetrator: Liberia
Children: 1 son (4 years)
Perpetrator: her ex-boyfriend Emmanuel B. (45 years)
Anna and Emmanuel work at the Raphaelsklinik in Münster, he as kitchen helper, she as cleaner. They have a son together, but are divorced.

On March 12, 2011, Emmanuel goes to the clinic, pulls out an axe under his coat and goes after his ex-girlfriend. Anna flees, but goes down a flight of stairs. Emmanuel aims for her head, but hits her on the upper arm. Two hospital employees come to the rescue. The perpetrator flees, but is arrested a little later. A cleaning lady hands the axe to the police.

Although according to witnesses the perpetrator shouted "I want to kill you" several times, he has only been convicted of inflicting grievous bodily harm. Emmanuel was carrying two knives next to the axe. The perpetrator still grinned at the beginning of the trial and showed no remorse, but only self-pity. In August 2011, he was sentenced to five and a half years' imprisonment by the Münster District Court.

Emmanuel was born in Liberia as the son of a local and a German. He first sought asylum in Belgium and the Netherlands and came from there to Germany. Anna is not the real name of the woman.
