Honour killing story

Nicole M.
born: 1970
murdered: ca. 20. February 2017
Place of residence: Mönchengladbach
Origin: Victim: Germany; perpetrator: suspected Iraq
Children: ?
Perpetrator: her husband Ahmed Salim or Jamal Amilia (at act 38 or 39 y.)
A caretaker finds Nicole's body in an apartment in Mönchengladbach on 3 March 2017. The circumstances point to murder by violence against head and throat about 2 weeks earlier.

The offender is an asylum seeker whose stay expires in May 2017. In Germany he is registered as Ahmed Salim, in another country, according to the police, as Jamal Amilia. Because of the close border it could be Holland.

The names may indicate an origin from Iraq. He himself indicates as origin sometimes Israel, sometimes Morocco. Nicole, the victim, is his German wife.

The perpetrator flees. He is publicly searched for with a photo. In some media it is said that the perpetrator is clearly younger than his wife: he is 33 years old, Nicole is 47 years old. This could indicate a pure residence permit marriage. However, the photo rather suggests that Ahmed / Jamal is older than he claims.

At the end of March the perpetrator is arrested in Spain.
