In the late evening of February 25, 2017, Tahir from Aachen, Germany, goes out with a knife at his ex-girlfriend in her apartment in Euskirchen. 34 stab wounds are counted later.

Tina's new friend, a Pole (35 y.), is also there and is injured with 13 stab wounds. The 8-year-old son of victim and perpetrator is also in the apartment. Neighbours hear the screams and call the police.

Despite rapid emergency medical care, Tina dies in the hospital. The new partner survives. Police arrest the suspect near the scene of the crime. He has been living in Germany for 20 years. The son comes into a foster family.

In November 2017 the trial before the Regional Court of Bonn begins. In December Tahir is acquitted and brought to psychiatric hospital for psychosis.
