Susanne
born: 1965
Assassinated: 11 January 2013
Residence: Bad Krozingen (near Freiburg)
Origin: Victim: Germany; Perpetrator: Turkey
Children: 3 (of which 1 together)
Perpetrator: her divorced husband (32 years)
For some reason Susanne marries the 16 year younger Ali, who lives in Turkey, in 2003. Maybe it was a holiday flirtation, which was followed by a marriage and about a year later the resettlement of the man in Germany. The two have a child (7 years old) together. Susanne probably has two more children (20 and 21 years) from a previous relationship.

In 2012 the couple breaks up, Ali moves to Offenburg. He doesn't work, but drives a Mercedes. They say he used to work in a metal company.

In the afternoon of 11 January 2013 Ali invades the former shared apartment and attacks Susanne and her new partner with an axe. The man can flee wounded, the woman dies. There are probably still neighbors in the apartment, they too can flee. Then Ali sprays gasoline and sets it on fire, probably to cover his tracks. He flees on foot, the car stops in front of the door.

The next day, after a tip from the local residents, the perpetrator is arrested in a cellar in Freiburg. All three children are believed to have gone to Susanne's first divorced husband.

In October the trial starts before the regional court of Freiburg. The charge is murder, attempted murder and arson. Ali says he tried to get a chainsaw from the basement, then he saw his wife arm in arm with another man, then something snapped in his head.

In October 2013, the perpetrator will be sentenced to life imprisonment for manslaughter, attempted murder and arson. It also came out in court that he had announced the crime to a friend. He was in hospital, asked a nurse to call the police. But the case came to nothing.

Susanne and Ali are not the right names. We would be happy with clues! For an email directly to us you can simply click here
