Boban belongs to a Roma family from Serbia and is said to work as a scrap dealer. His 19-year-old daughter Amanda is in love with Roberto of a friendly clan. When this clan asks for Amanda's hand, the father is against it. A version says that he wants his daughter to finish her education first. The other is that he wanted his daughter to marry another Serbian for 20,000 euros, so that he could get a residence permit in Germany. In any case, the rejected clan feels this is a violation of honour.

In the early morning of June 9, 2016, Boban is shot from another vehicle in his car. Eyewitnesses call the ambulance. He dies at the crime scene. The police start a large-scale manhunt.

The getaway car was found 10 minutes from the crime scene. On the day of the arrest 6 men are arrested. The house of the Roma family is searched. The victim's family is brought to safety.

In December 2016, the murder case starts before the Hamburg Court of Appeal. The suspect says that he loved his daughter but hated his father. Amanda testifies that she has moved to the Robertos clan, although the father was against it. All she had to do there was clean up and take care of the children. Her father freed her. However, she must have reported him for assault. Which version is the right one can't be clarified by the judge either.

As the clans will then at least be hostile, they have reported each other to the Foreigners' Office. According to the judge, the word "head shot" is used in many declarations. Roberto is sentenced to life imprisonment in January 2017. The 21-year-old cousin Jovan, who was aware of the murder plan, gets 3 years. Zoran (27), who threw the gun away with the organic waste, gets 2 years and 6 months.
