It is possible that this murder was not committed because of the honour. It is said that the perpetrator suffered from delusions. On the other hand, he was discharged from a clinic with the diagnosis that there was no danger to others. Either the diagnosis was too optimistic, or there is a motive of honour. Or a mixture of situations.

The act: Delali and her husband come from Togo to Germany in the mid-1990s, one after the other. He is an educated locksmith, she studies several semesters of pedagogy. The two have 2 children. Delila and her husband probably split up several times. On 1 January 2017 she will join the refugee commissioner of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein.

On December 7, 2016, her husband will pour petrol on her in the car. She flees outside, he runs after her and sets her on fire. She runs through the street. Passers-by extinguish the fire. Delali is seriously injured and comes to a special clinic.

Her husband flees the scene of the crime but is arrested by the called police officers. The children are placed in a foster family.

The victim dies a little later in the clinic.

The trial before the Kiel District Court will begin in August 2017. In the same month, the perpetrators are admitted to the psychiatric ward. According to the judge, the crime is a murder under criminal law.
