Aynur is probably about 11 years old when she is married in Anatolia to an orphan boy from the neighborhood (but maybe there is something wrong with the age statement). After interludes in France and the Netherlands the couple came to Germany in 1969. In fact they have 3 adult children.
On 22 May 2011, the former miner stabbed his wife with a knife 83 times in the bathtub. Among them there is also a cut from ear to ear - just like a shaft.
The perpetrator goes to a nearby restaurant and calls the police from there. In November 2011, he is sentenced to 4 years imprisonment by the Duisburg District Court for manslaughter in the heat of the moment. The sentence is so lenient, because it is assumed that the crime is not an honour killing, but the bad outcome of a broken marriage of more than 50 years. The question remains, why doesn't the man just leave his wife, but kill her? The real names of the people involved are not known.
